Scientific Outsourcing and Project Execution (ScOPE) methodology
provides clients and partners with a systematic framework by
which they can enter an outsourcing relationship at minimal risk.
At the core of ScOPE is the PRINCE2 (PRojects IN
Controlled Environments) method. PRINCE2 is a de facto
standard used extensively by the UK Governments, which
is widely recognised and adopted by the private sector both
in the UK and internationally.
ScOPE extends PRINCE2 by incorporating an offshore
outsourcing dimension. As a non-exhaustive example, ScOPE
defines sub-processes for dealing with specifics of choosing
foreign suppliers, managing site multi-site projects remotely
along with protocols for dealing with communication, intellectual
property, cultural aspects, etc.
